| The canonical stability of a smooth projective 3-fold V of general type with
odd prime canonical index r ≥ 3 is studied. A function m(r) is defined such that the
pluricanonical maps are birational for m ≥ m(r). It is proved that m(3) = 13, m(5) = 15,
m(7) = 18 and m(r) = 2r for r ≥ 11. |
