      研究四阶具强阻尼非线性波动方程$u_{tt}-\Delta u+\Delta^2 u-\alpha \Delta u_t=f(u)$的初边值问题. 利用位势井方法, 得到了问题整体解存在性与不存在性的最佳条件 (门槛结果).
英文摘要:
      This paper deals with the initial boundary value problem for a class of fourth order strongly damped nonlinear wave equations $u_{tt}-\Delta u+\Delta^2 u-\alpha \Delta u_t=f(u)$. By using the potential well method, some sharp conditions for global existence and nonexistence of solution are obtained.
