| This paper deals with the large time behavior of solutions to the nonlinear wave equation with viscosity in even dimensions. The study is based on the detailed analysis of the Green function of the linearized equation. Optimal decay estimate is obtained, which shows that the phenomenon of decay of solution coincides with Huygens principle. |
