Abstract:
Let $\[{\Pi _{\rm{k}}}\]$ be a Pontrjagin space.Suppose that A is a self adjoint operator on $\[{\Pi _{\rm{k}}}\]$.The self adjoint operator A_1 on $\[{\Pi _{\rm{k}}}\]$ is called a self adjoint square root of A,if $\[A_1^2 = A\]$.
The aim of this paper is to discuss the existence and uniqueness of square root of a self adjoint operator on $\[{\Pi _{\rm{k}}}\]$。We get the main results as follows.
