Abstract：
Assume that a smooth function K(x, y) vanishes on a simple closed smooth curve \Gamma and dK|_\Gamma \ne 0. Then the result of the present paper shows that there is a sufficiently smooth surface z=z(x, y) defined in a neighbourhood of \Gamma with curvature K.
