The development of the inverse scattering transform (I. S. T) has made it possible to solve certain physically, significant nonlinear evolution equations with periodic boundary conditions. Date and Tanakat^[2] have considered kdv equation; Ma and Ablowitz^[3] have discussed the cubic Schrodinger equation.
