Abstract：
In this paper, singular integral equations with upper and lower translations aro discussed and the equivalence for solving them in fl and aro shown. Equations with a single pair of upper and lower translations are studiod in detail. Their solutions as well-as-the conditions of solvability are obtained. The method used consists of transferring-them to boundary value problems of analytic functions in upper and lower half-planea and then solving the latter.
