Abstract：
For reducible quasilinear hyperbolic systems and for general quasilinear hyperbolic systems of diagonal form in two independent variables； some sufficient conditions satisfied by he system itself are given to guarantee the existence of nontrivial global smooth solutions
in the whole (t,x) space.
